GNU Free Documentation License How do I restore file associations and icon caches for Windows 7? Q. I tried installing VirtualBox on Windows 7. After installing it, file associations and icon caches got messed up. Files (icons) related to Microsoft Office, for example, shows an icon that's alien to Windows 7. I can still open the program though. I've already uninstalled VB on this PC, yet the problem still persists. Asked by jErMaInE - Sat May 29 00:14:15 2010 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Windows 7 has what M$ calls "restoration points" which are snapshots of the system to which windows can be restored. those restore points are made @ least before updates and installatioins but can be generated by the user too. open an Explorer window right click on Computer & select Properties (down the list) in the top right select System Protection in the System Properties pop-up that appears click on System Restore... in the System Restore pop-up, select "Choose a different restore point" and click on Next if you are lucky, there should be a restore point "Installed VirtualBox" or so; otherwise, chose an update restore point prior to VirtuaBox install. Q. Does Obama make you feel uneasy with his past associations of shady characters? What else is he hiding? Should we be worried? Asked by cap3382 - Tue Dec 16 18:56:14 2008 - - 31 Answers - 0 Comments A. His bad buddy choices are a big concern to me. When a person applies for the most important job I can think of, then we, the voters should scrutinize every breath the person took since high school. This election was tough, because we didn't have the media fairly helping us out with the issues. The media has so much more access to the facts than we do, and the sure didn't do their job this time. Obama could have been easily dethrowned by the press over his friends, let alone the other issues.
